About asking

Don’t ask God for things as a child does of a parent. God is not your parent. YOU are God. All you need is there for the taking. But the power to do that, eludes you.

So it is easier to follow a religion, to ask “God” for things through a mediator – Jesus, Sai Baba or a Saint or the Virgin Mary – through prayer. You are then using the auspices of another to cause change, to assist in your journey.

When you do wrong, or receive what you perceive as undue good luck, you suffer guilt because you have the child/parent idea of God but this is not correct. God does not punish you or reward you. You cause your own retribution or rewards by the law of karma.
