About Approaching The Runes
Runes have been used for thousands of years to answer questions that are “on our minds”. They are a system of glyphs put together by the ancients. Of course, if we become aware of the messages around us, we may read our own signs and symbols from everything we see—a feather on our doorstep, the shape of a cloud. These lessons and guidance come in moments of inner connectedness with our higher state. So approaching Runemal with a similar inner reverence always produces the clearest answers. If we work with Runes (or any system) in the way I describe, it will mean fun and surprises – for my system challenges us to lay out our own patterns, give our own meanings to the placing of our Runes which sharpens our thinking, indicates to our higher selves what it is EXACTLY that we need to know, increases our insight into “what IS on our mind” and empowers us in the interpretation of the Runic language as it might have been. This is growth! Here are some patterns by way of suggestion—a framework in which to start an adventure of mystical synchronicity.
Reading Right to Left
Traditionally now we read the Runes from Right to Left—which makes good sense—for in switching from the normal—we access another side of ourselves! But in its original we have no idea which way Runic was read. Runic is an alphabet, the symbols making an ancient language and we should read each rune in connection with the others in its surroundings in a layout. There are several ways of working with Runes.
We Could Draw a Single Rune:
One of the easiest ways to find instant guidance is to take one rune only. Sometimes a larger rune layout can confuse us with too much input that feels vague and complex—but one rune gives a clear idea— a single thought—a new aspect of the question “on our minds.” We seem to know at once the reason why we drew exactly that particular Rune—our higher self makes sure of that! And our subconscious and
conscious minds interpret it for us through the reading of the meaning. Often our personal insight might not be quite the same as the written words — but our inner knowing tells us exactly what it means to us in a personal and unique way.
We could do a Three Rune Reading:
We can choose three Runes, one at a time and put them next to one another from right to left. As we lay them out we give interpretations to the position they are in. We might choose that the first one on the right will show us the OVERVIEW of what is “on our mind”, the second one in the middle we request will show us the CHALLENGE facing us, and the third one on the left we will take as showing us the COURSE OF ACTION CALLED FOR. But at any time we may put other interpretations on how we place them. We could say the three places represent THE PROBLEM, THE CAUSE, THE EFFECT or YESTERDAY, TODAY and TOMORROW. The reason for this is that any system we put in place with the inner intention of tapping into our higher guidance will work— because of our intention to learn something. The cosmic principle always works—if we ask a question, we will be answered!
Some Rune books talk about Runes being reversed if we lay the rune down upside- down—”merkstave” but the meaning does not change—there is simply some slightly negative connotation of the same idea. It matters not which way our Runes lie—if something is “on our mind” the answer lies in the Rune we take and our own minds will remind us what aspect of the meaning is our shadow– our un-working self, lying dormant, waiting to be awakened or activated by ourselves. The very act of taking the Rune reminds us of this us! Reversed Runes are a wake up call.
We could choose five Runes one at a time and place them either one above the other, or horizontally, from right to left. Their placing will represent the qualities we give them but one idea could be OVERVIEW, CHALLENGE, and the ACTION CALLED FOR, and also the COST, and then the EMERGING SITUATION.
Or we could assign our own placing—which of course, takes thought and time. Usually the Runes are about the very present NOW in our lives. We have nothing else but NOW—every happy now makes a happy past and a pleasant future!
Sometimes, when we have to interpret such an amount of information in one reading, it is easy to lose our way. At any time we can select another rune to explain further the meaning of the one that confuses us. Before we select it, with that feeling of inner-connectedness, which is so important in “readings” of any kind—we “ask” that the explanation Rune will EXPLAIN! At the end of our reading it is often necessary to take a final Rune that will place the stream of information into a “nutshell” for us.
Most correctly, we can shake and throw out our set of Runes When we do this, we then take only those runes that are face side up and discard the rest (except if we need them for explanation). We lay those that have “exposed” themselves to us from right to left in three rows of five runes each. It’s amazing how often only fifteen runes land face side up! But if we have less than fifteen—that’s okay too. The last row will be slightly short perhaps indicating missing areas in our life. Or perhaps we will only have one and a half rows. We simply work with the Runes that “showed “ themselves to us. We assign positions to the rows. We could say the first row is about NOW. The second row is a further comment on ASPECTS of NOW and the third row is ADVICE on how to handle the situation.
If we assign a meaning to a whole row and not a single Rune, we will achieve a very similar result to the ancient rune consultation—or Shamanistic divination. For Runic is a language and reading simply the names of the rune and combining it intuitively with the names of the others in the row will give birth to a new “tongue”. We find that each row then becomes a paragraph—even a chapter! We put this together ourselves by repeating the words until they magically form into a meaning for our lives—and even suggest to us the tools with which to handle it.
This is the most likely way the old Druids read the Runes—no Index of Meanings for them but simply the symbol seen which they then plaited into the situation that was “on the mind” of their client through interpretation of “possibles” in solutions, advice or guidance. The old words for the Runes were very simple and could be used literally or symbolically— and magically—which we can still do now of course! Each interpretation will be unique to our situation – perfect for our very present now!
We can use the Runes to change There are twenty-four traditional Runes used currently. They are being interpreted in a new way. Since the 1980’s a blank rune has been added which makes twenty-five. In the old days they concerned what was “on our minds”— then— and everyone knew about elks, yew trees and the characteristics of the wild ox! Nowadays the runes have been adapted, so they are pertinent to our times. We are using them as a tool for spiritual growth and some are specifically more about changing ourselves than others. As always, if what is “on our mind” is self-realisation these self- changing Runes will become very obvious to us. Serious Runemal does not use the blank rune but I like it—sometimes it speaks through its silence, or it can punctuate a train of thought in a most humorous way. Who wants to be too serious when no one knows what the Runes really meant and we can only guess!?
We can try keeping a journal as an interesting record that is fun to look back to later when the situations of life have changed.
The Meanings + Interpretations
The original meanings of each Runic Glyph are simply given in single words or ideas with which they are connected. I have not “interpreted” what they can teach us because each of us will be able to apply to our own situation in our true and individualistic manner the idea implicit in the Glyph when we start plaiting it into what is “on our mind”. But there is a paragraph of “Other guidance” in summary that is a collation of commonly held current ideas. As a further touch, I have added DEFINITE answers at the very end of each interpretation. This is because a lot of modern Rune-talk is too airey fairy for those who need a proper answer one way or the other. In the olden times, a reader in a consultation would be able to say to us “Go for it!” or “Don’t go for it.” when examaning the Glyphs for they were used as guidence for everyday actions. It is very difficult to use the Runes for decision making otherwise.
We are told Runes comment on the NOW – but the ancients used them to explain the “Runa” – secrets – and the secret all humans want to know, is the secret of their futures! The first interpretations under the headings are the usually accepted meanings and are put in the order of the “ Elder Futhark”, the most common Northern European Runic alphabet. So take a Rune. Plunge in and enjoy!
Possessions Fehu (F: Domestic cattle, wealth.) Possessions won or earned, earned income, luck. Cattle, Inheritance, Money, Wealth, deserved success Money matters. Psychic energies. Material things. Money. Positive attitude towards riches. Success consciousness. Abundance, financial strength in the present or near future. Sign of hope and plenty, success and happiness. Social success. Energy, foresight, fertility, creation (becoming).
Fehu Reversed or Merkstave: Loss of personal property, esteem, or something that we put in effort to keep. It indicates some sort of failure. A not allowing ourselves the privilege of riches. Wrong attitude to money/wealth. Poverty consciousness.
This is a Rune of fulfillment; ambition satisfied, rewards received. It promises nourishment from the most worldly to the sacred and Divine. Is it wealth and possessions we require for our well being, or possibly self-rule and the growth of will. Conserve what has already been gained, do not be reckless. Enjoy and remember to share wealth, an ability that demonstrates a well nourished self.
DEFINITE – good omen – go for it!
Reversed:Are there frustrations in our life? or possibly dispossessions ranging from the trivial to the severe? Is what we have gained dwindling away? This Rune shows that perhaps doubtful situations are apparent in many forms and guises. Even in loss we have the opportunity to recognize where our true nourishment lies and understand that material wealth is only ours to use for an appointed time, then it flows on to others. True wealth lies within. DEFINITE – If its expensive don’t buy it. It’s time to save your money and look after your things!
Strength Uruz: (U: Auroch, a wild ox.) Vigour, Physical health. Vital energies. Physical strength and speed, untamed potential. A time of great energy and health. Freedom, energy, action, courage, strength, tenacity, understanding, wisdom. Drive and ambition. The ability to endure. Stickability. The Ability to cause sudden or unexpected changes (usually for the better). Sexual desire, masculine potency. The shaping of power and pattern, formulation of the self.
Uruz Reversed or Merkstave: Weakness, obsession, misdirected force, domination by others.
Other guidance—-This Rune shows terminations and new beginnings. It indicates the life we have been living has outgrown its form. The new must come and with it all the force, drive and energy we need. Positive growth and change may involve a requirement of strength and courage or even a descent into discomfort as a part of the cycle of renewal. As in nature, this progression consists of five aspects: death, decay, fertilization, gestation, rebirth. Prepare then for opportunity possibly disguised as loss, and we need to remember the new life will be better than the old.
DEFINITE – Go go go – but get lots of early nights and eat right!
Reversed: Are we experiencing an opportunity missed or a weakening of our position? Maybe it feels as if our own strength is being used against us. What is our relationship to our self? Take heart, the strength we need IS available for us to use NOW. DEFINITE – wait for more “oomph” and enthusiasm.
Gateway Thurisaz: (TH: Thorn or a Giant.) What opposes us (perhaps physical) Greater family matters. National or community issues. Caution—thought before action. Drawing away before acting. Reactive force, directed force of destruction or defense. At a turning point. Instinctual will, vital eroticism. Having to “grasp the nettle”, regenerative catalyst, being on the verge. A tendency toward change. The possibility of change for the better—sometimes painful. Catharsis, purging, cleansing fire. Male sexuality, fertilization. (Thorr, the Thunder god, was of Giant stock.)
Thurisaz Reversed or Merkstave: Danger, defenselessness, compulsion.
Is there something difficult we need to confront? This is the time to stop and think about our past, present and future for although this is a Rune of non-action, it is one of possible opportunity. The gateway is not to be approached and passed through without contemplation. Here we are being confronted with hidden aspects of our self, which must be exposed and examined before right action can be undertaken. Now is not the time to make decisions, but to consider them only, to collect our courage and mettle. If we visualize standing before a gateway on a hilltop and that our entire life lies behind and below we can pause and review the past: the learning and the joys, the victories and the sorrows – everything it took to get us to this point. We gird our self for the next step—we breathe in, we breathe out and choose the right time to open the gate.
DEFINITE – Look before you leap!
Reversed: Take advantage of the moment—is it apprehension, fear we feel? Everything comes down to attitude—we should take heart—think of the gain, not the pain. If there’s something we need to get to grips with, gritting our teeth helps so that we can release the old and integrate the new. It’s easy to remember the clarity of our original intention and of our will but hasty decisions at this time may cause regrets, for the probability is that we may act from weakness and deceive our self about our motives. Ralph Blum says, “Be still, collect yourself and wait on the will of Heaven.”DEFINITE – Do nothing – wait.
Signals Ansuz: (A: The As, ancestral god, i.e. Odhinn.)God,Mouth.
Sources of inspiration and intellectual expression. A revealing message or insight, communication. Divine communication. Language greater than human communication. Signals, inspiration, enthusiasm, speech, true vision, power of words and naming. Blessings, the taking of advice. Good health, harmony, truth, wisdom.
Ansuz Reversed or Merkstave: Misunderstanding, delusion, manipulation by others, not listening to communication or advice—stubbornness.
Other guidance— Remember we are receiving messages, signals, gifts. We should take care now to be especially aware during meetings, chance encounters, visits, and being with people wiser than our self. This messenger Rune brings sacred knowledge, and we are truly blessed that it has shown its face. It is saying that we need to integrate our unconscious motive with conscious intent. This Rune tells us that a connection with the Divine is at hand, a signal to explore our mystical life and the synchronicity of the Divine in our natures. We should first draw from the well to nourish our self and in giving to our self we will find there is more than enough to nourish others.
DEFINITE – be happy, feel blessed, make miracles happen. Good omen.
Reversed: Perhaps we are experiencing what appears to be a failed communication, lack of clarity or awareness either in our past or present situation. We might feel inhibited from accepting what is offered. Or have feelings of futility, or wasted motion, squandered effort. Remember, however, that what is happening is timely to our process. Listen up! The Divine is speaking and we’re not listening.
DEFINITE – change negative thinking to positive – still a good omen.
Journey Raidho: (R: Wagon or chariot.)Riding. Be ready for change. Travels, both in physical terms and those of life-style direction. Also spiritual. A journey, vacation, relocation, evolution, change of place or setting. Seeing a larger perspective. Seeing the right move— make and decide upon it. Traveling on. Time to go forward. Take the step—correct time. Go on with confidence during the process. Personal rhythm, world rhythm, dance of life.
Raidho Reversed or Merkstave: Unsure how to move, rigidity, stasis, injustice, dislocation.
Other guidance—Yes—we are going someplace and we know that when what is above and what is below are united and are of one mind all sorts of cogs and wheels mesh and the machine turns. Our journey WILL take place as indicated when this Rune is chosen. We could be content to wait and request guidance and assistance resisting trying to force things to happen. The Journey could be towards self-healing and self-change – a journey of the self towards the Self. But it could also move us to new places, other experiences, or a new time in our lives. It is something to anticipate with excitement.
DEFINITE – do it!
Reversed: We might be feeling the way forward has been closed to us, that something is holding us back, we are making no progress. We need our sense of humour! Whatever happens might not be what we intended and how we respond is up to us. We need to keep our cool for the requirements for our journey may totally disrupt what we had intended. What we might regard as detours, blockages, inconveniences and even failures, could be opportunities on the way to our destination. DEFINITE –give up – let God do it.
Opening Kenaz: (K: Beacon or torch.)Something new. Opening up of energy. Vision, revelation, knowledge, creativity, inspiration, technical ability. Open to new ideas, strength and power. New future. Illumination of the way. New goals, new chances. Vital fire of life, harnessed power, fire of transformation and regeneration. Power to create our own reality, the power of light. Passion, sexual love.
Kenaz Reversed or Merkstave: Instability, lack of creativity. Nakedness, exposure.
Other guidance – This is a wonderful Rune indicating opening and renewed clarity, of the dispelling of the darkness that has been shrouding some parts of our life. We will soon see clearly and know what previously has seemed murky. This is the Rune of seriousness, clear intent and concentration. Perhaps in our relationships there might be a mutual opening or an opportunity might suddenly show itself—or the light at the end of the tunnel appears.
DEFINITE – yes – get ready.
Reversed: Be patient during the darkening of the light in whatever situation or relationship of life. We need to wait till illumination comes and a new day dawns. All will be well. DEFINITE – the time is not right.

All matters in relation to exchanges, including contracts, personal relationships and partnerships. Business partnerships. Correctness of transacting, balanced by work on both sides. Receiving what we know we deserve as a result of our giving. Receiving a gift undeserved!
Gebo Merkstave (Gebo cannot be reversed.) The arms of this glyph are equal and balanced unlike the glyph indicating “need” – Constraint.
Other guidance—We need to be aware that a partnership in some form is at hand, in either love or business or in any kind of partnering. We are advised not to collapse into the union, for a true partnership is achieved only by being separate and whole beings who retain their separateness even as they unite. The path of partnership could also lead us to the understanding of a higher union – union with our higher self, or with the Divine. This is a beneficial time for partnering.
DEFINITE – do it – the answer is “yes!”
Reversed: This Rune has no reverse, for it signifies the gift of freedom in perfect balance from which all other gifts flow.
Joy Wunjo: (W or V: Joy.) Joy, comfort, pleasure. Relationships, friends. What will give us happiness. Enthusiasm. Self worth. Achievement. Satisfaction. Acknowledgement. Fellowship, harmony, prosperity. Ecstasy, glory, spiritual reward. The meaning is general success and recognition of worth.
Wunjo Reversed or Merkstave: Delirium, intoxication, going “over the top”, impractical enthusiasm.
This rune reminds us to be happy in our Joy —to follow our Bliss. It tells us to be ready to receive the blessings that come with this Rune, be they material gain, in our emotional life or in a heightened sense of well-being. This is the moment when we can experience our natural state of happiness. Joyousness accompanies new energy,
energy that was blocked before now develops again because joy fills us with energy.
DEFINITE – let the good times roll!
Reversed: Things seem slow in coming to fruition. We might be experiencing a heavy heart, a difficult passage or longing for the impossible. Patience, consideration and deliberation are called for. We must not get carried away in grief or joy. Everything is a test. And so, if we live in the now with sincerity towards others and trusting in our self, we know that we cannot fail. Happiness is our true condition.DEFINITE – calm down. Chill!
Disruption Hagalaz: (H: Hail.) Area of possible crisis leading to transformation. Stormy weather ahead leading to sunshine. Wrath of nature, destructive, uncontrolled forces, especially the weather, or within the unconscious. Some confusion before order. Tempering, testing, trial. Controlled crisis, leading to completion, inner harmony. Uncomfortable beneficial adjustments. Hail is frozen water—as it melts it nourishes the Earth. A temporary disruption before order and replenishment returns.
Hagalaz Merkstave (Hagalaz cannot be reversed.)
Drawing this Rune shows us that we might experience some disruption of events that seem to be totally beyond our control. It might take many forms: a relationship may fail, plans go awry, a source of supply dries up. We need not be dismayed. We are with power in this situation even though we might have created the disruption ourselves – we have our own inner strength for our support in this present or approaching challenge – an opportunity for growth! This Rune is a good omen for it promises better times to come.
DEFINITE – Life is going to get uncomfortable – but it’s worth it
Constraint Nauthiz: (N: Need.) Unbalanced transaction. What seems to resist us, hold us back. Source of discontent. Lack of. Having to exercise self control. Delays, restriction. Nauthiz Reversed or Merkstave: Constraint of freedom, Necessity, extremity, want, need, poverty, emotional hunger.

The Rune may also show us our repressed side, places where growth has been stunted, resulting in weaknesses that are often projected onto others. We needn’t take the world personally. Work with the shadow, examine what in our nature attracts hardship or misfortune to our life or makes us feel victimised. Setbacks are our teachers, guides and allies. This is a time to pay off old debts, and restore balance with our self.
DEFINITE – not a good time.
Reversed: Feeling limited or confined is the discontent which keeps us growing and creative. It is our catalyst to change. If we proceed with “baby steps”, we will eventually find we have travelled a far distance and had wondrous adventures along the way if we keep alert and notice them. That which is most difficult, when overcome, can deepen, nurture and bring great self esteem.DEFINITE – no
Standstill Isa: (I: Ice.) Wait! A call to meditate. Let go, let God. A challenge or frustration. A feeling of being in a backwater, waiting. When the winter finishes, the ice melts and nurtures the Earth. The ebb time before the flow. All WILL be well. This rune reinforces runes around it.
Isa Merkstave (Isa cannot be reversed.)
Other guidance—Perhaps we feel that the winter of the spiritual life is upon us? We may find our self entangled in a situation that seems unchanging, everlasting or we may feel powerless to do anything except surrender or submit. We need to be patient. Explore within— wait for the snow and ice to melt. This is a period of gestation that precedes a re-birth and there is a freeze on all useful activity. If we try to discover what we are holding on to that could be perpetuating this condition and shed, release and cleanse away the old, we can bring on the thaw. Otherwise we need simply to submit and be still for often we have not brought this condition on our self and the spring comes in its natural time.
DEFINITE – just wait.
Harvest Jera: (J or Y: A year, a good harvest.) Rewards for past labour. Enjoy achievement. The results of earlier efforts are realized. A time of peace and happiness, fruitful season. Well being. Jera Merkstave (Jera cannot be reversed)
Other guidance—This is a Rune of beneficial outcomes, which applies to any activity or endeavor to which we are committed. We know that all the outcomes of our labours are the keeping of Providence, which encourages us to continue to persevere. DEFINITE – very good.

An honest man who can be relied upon as can the Yew with it’s slow burning wood making a lasting, warming flame.
Eihwaz Cannot be Reversed or Merkstave:
Other guidance—There might appear to be a blockage in our path, but we can consider the delay beneficial. We need not be over eager to press forward, for this is where we need our skill to make our influence felt. Sometimes this Rune speaks of difficulties that we experience at the beginning of a new life. Perseverance and foresight are called for here. If we avert anticipated difficulties through right action and the correct attitude —then the doing becomes effortless!

There may be surprises, gains or rewards that we did not anticipate. We can lift our self above the ebb and flow of humdrum life to acquire a broader vision, a bird’s eye view. Nothing external really matters, except as it shows us our inner reflection. This Rune is concerned with the deepest sanctum of our being—the real “us” – experiencing ourselves as humans with all our hope, fears and longings for a winning streak.
DEFINITE – do it – but keep a sense of humour.
Reversed: Maybe we have expected too much? We are feeling disappointed? Perhaps we are at the end of a “game” and we feel we could and should have got more? Disappointment can indicate our own requirements for growth. We should try not to focus on outcomes or bind our self to memories of past achievements. In doing so, we rob our self of a true present. We should stay centered, see the humour, and keep faith firm.DEFINITE – don’t do – not even with a sense of humour.
Protection Algiz: (Z or -R: Elk, protection.) Protection, a shield. The protective urge to shelter ourself or others. Elks lay in hiding protecting themselves in tall sedges. Other guidance—Keep control. We should avoid collapsing into our emotions during times of transition, changes in life’s course and self-change. New opportunities and challenges are being offered to us by this Rune but with them may also come some unwanted influences. Remember as in the Rune of defense that timely right action and correct conduct are our only true protection. If we find our self in pain, observe the pain, stay with it. We are experiencing our “human-ness” in what is happening. This is what we came to explore and we will progress for no human condition is lasting.
DEFINITE – I’d say you might end up getting hurt so don’t do it. No.
Reversed: It’s time to be thoughtful about our health. Look carefully at the associations that are forming at this time. Being careful of others who might be using us we need to remain conscious of the fact and take responsibility for our own position; then we can only benefit. And yet regardless of whether our enterprise prospers or suffers, we need not be overly concerned. We might not win, but we cannot lose. Every experience is a chance to learn.DEFINITE – absolutely no.
Wholeness Sowilo: (S: The sun.)Warmth, success, goals achieved, honor. The inner hearth. Life-force, health. Well being as when the sun comes out from behind clouds on a bleak day. Sowilo Merkstave (Sowilo cannot be reversed)
Other guidance—Its time to bask in the warmth of the light— right down to the last cell of our being. In this way we can truly create! Let’s be effortless as in doing without doing—surfing with the creative power of the sun in our life. If we aim our self truly and then maintain our aim without manipulative effort we will find the Universe co-operating with us. Remember that by our own power we do nothing. Other guidance—This is the time to study the sky! Find and follow the guiding star—that star that Heaven has set in place for us. This Rune comes packed with the energy of discrimination, a sword-like quality that enables us to cut away the old, the dead and the extraneous. Here we are asked to look within so we can meet our deepest needs and tap into our most profound resources. If this Rune comes in response to a relationship issue, it tells us that it is timely and the bond a real one. If the issue concerns a devotion to a cause, an idea or path of conduct, perseverance and patience is called for to follow our star.
DEFINITE – It’s the right time.
Reversed: We need to observe that through some action, direction has leaked out of us or has spilled away. We might feel lost with no compass to guide us. If an association is short-lived, we do not grieve, but know that its life span has been fulfilled. We will find the answers deep inside our self, not in outside advice—for no one knows OUR star! Rekindle the fire of enthusiasm. Remember dream. New goals will emerge. DEFINITE – not now – wrong time. But don’t dump the idea.

If our will is clear and controlled, our motives correct then we can practice modesty, patience, fairness and generosity as we fulfil our dreams.
DEFINITE – excellent, do it.
Reversed: Something is interfering with our new growth We may feel dismay at failing to take the right action, but have to examine what has occurred and our role in it. If we have a correct relationship to our self, from it flow all possible right relationships with others and with the Divine. We need to remain modest….regardless of how great may be our merit, for then we have true direction in our life. We are in the world but not of it. And we need not be closed narrow and judging but rather receptive to impulses flowing from the Divine within and without us.

We can expect satisfaction of our emotional needs and an awakening of the intuitive side of our nature. Our success lies in contacting our intuitive wisdom and attuning to our own rhythms.

Do we have position in society or status in the work that we do that needs relinquishing? Or even our beliefs about our own self? The separation might call for will free so we can become more truly who we are.
DEFINITE – count your blessings, appreciate your roots, heritage and home. Good omen.
Reversed:We should avoid being bound by old conditioning. We should think of not only what benefits us but what will benefit others too, and act according to the understanding we possess now in our life. Because we may be called upon to undertake a radical departure from old ways, total honesty is required. Otherwise, through negligence or refusal to see clearly, we may cause pain to others and our self. DEFINITE – don’t, especially if it hurts someone else.
DEFINITE – Mmmmmm – couldn’t say
